The President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), Hon. Chief Fortune Charumbira, recently led a delegation to meet with Dr. Naledi Pandor, South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO).
The key topics discussed included updates on the PAP’s current operations and its capacity within the framework of the agreement between South Africa and the African Union (AU) regarding its hosting.
The focus also shifted to scheduling the upcoming Ordinary Session of the PAP, where South Africa’s DIRCO is expected to provide crucial logistical support. This session will serve as a platform for African Parliamentarians from all 55 AU member states to address critical issues facing the continent.
President Charumbira expressed his appreciation to the South African government for the facilities and support provided to the PAP in fulfilling its mission on behalf of the African people.
