Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Iraq’s new ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ms. Safia Taleb Al Souhail, officially began her diplomatic duties on March 26th. In a ceremony held at the Al Salam Palace, she presented her credentials to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, solidifying her role as the bridge between the two nations.
The ceremony’s significance was underscored by the attendance of prominent Saudi figures, including Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Chief Royal Court official Fahd bin Muhammad Al Essa. This high-level participation highlights the growing importance Saudi Arabia places on its relationship with Iraq.
Ambassador Al Souhail brings a wealth of diplomatic experience to the table, having served previously in Rome and Amman. Her expertise is expected to be crucial in further strengthening the bond between the neighboring countries, which have seen increased cooperation in recent times.
