Pretoria, South Africa – Justice Minister Ronald Lamola will lead a high-powered delegation to the International Court of Justice in the Hague, Netherlands, to challenge the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The move marks a bold step on the world stage for South Africa, uniting with progressive voices like former UK opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn to demand an end to the human rights crisis.
Joining Lamola will be a team of South Africa’s most distinguished diplomats and legal minds, including Director General in the Presidency Phindile Baleni, Director General of International Relations Zane Dangor, Justice Department Director General Advocate Mashabane, and Presidential Special Advisor Advocate Nokukhanya Jele.
“We are unwavering in our determination to see the end of this horrific genocide in Gaza,” declared Minister Lamola. “We commend the courageous leaders who stand on the right side of history, supporting the protection of human rights regardless of nationality or ethnicity.”
