Beijing, China – Chinese officials formally welcomed Robert Lee and Daouda Bitie as the new ambassadors of Fiji and Burkina Faso, respectively, in a ceremony on Thursday, January 4th.
Director-General Hong Lei of the Foreign Ministry’s Protocol Department received copies of credentials presented by the ambassadors, marking their official start as representatives of their nations to China.
Lee, a seasoned businessman and policy advisor, arrived in China on December 11th and brings a wealth of experience in public and private sectors. Bitie, who arrived on December 31st, boasts extensive diplomatic experience and is expected to play a key role in strengthening ties between China and Burkina Faso.
