Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has offered warm congratulations to his Congolese counterpart, Felix Tshisekedi, following his re-election victory. In a message to the Congolese people, Museveni lauded Tshisekedi’s contributions to regional stability and expressed eagerness for further cooperation.
“On behalf of the Ugandans,” Museveni wrote, “I congratulate H.E Felix Tshisekedi on winning the electoral contest in Congo, as announced by the Electoral Commission.” The Ugandan leader acknowledged Tshisekedi’s instrumental role in bringing the Democratic Republic of Congo into the East African Community, a move seen as a critical step towards regional integration.
