Nairobi, Kenya – Kenya and China pledged to further strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership during a meeting between the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Ambassador.
Amb. Moi Lemoshira, Director General of Political and Diplomatic Affairs, met with H.E. Zhou Pingjian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, yesterday to discuss matters of mutual interest. The meeting comes just after both nations celebrated 60 years of diplomatic relations.
Amb. Lemoshira commended Ambassador Pingjian for the successful celebrations held last week, highlighting the strong bond between the two countries. He expressed the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to working closely with the Chinese Embassy to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

“This partnership has brought significant benefits to both our peoples,” stated Amb. Lemoshira. “Through collaboration in areas like infrastructure, trade, and cultural exchange, we have built a foundation for continued progress and prosperity.”
Ambassador Pingjian echoed Amb. Lemoshira’s sentiments, expressing gratitude for the Kenyan government’s support in hosting the anniversary celebrations. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to the partnership, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation on key issues.
The meeting touched upon a range of topics, including ongoing infrastructure projects, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange programs. Both sides expressed their desire to further expand collaboration in these areas, aiming to unlock even greater benefits for their citizens.
