GAZA, Palestine – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has further strengthened its medical assistance in Gaza with the inauguration of a fully-equipped field hospital, offering crucial care to Palestinians amid ongoing hardships. A delegation from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the facility on Friday, reaffirming the country’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of Gaza residents.
The hospital, boasting a capacity of over 150 beds, operates under the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian initiative. Led by Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, the delegation toured the facility and met with both patients and medical staff.
“This field hospital is a testament to the UAE’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people, especially during this challenging period,” Al Shamsi stated. “Our aim is to provide the necessary medical assistance and ease the burden on those affected by the dire situation in Gaza.”
The hospital features advanced capabilities, including operating rooms for general, pediatric, and vascular surgeries. Intensive care units for both adults and children cater to critical cases, while specialized clinics offer services in internal medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, psychiatry, family medicine, and other areas.
Equipped with CT scans, X-ray facilities, and a pharmacy, the hospital provides comprehensive care to patients. A modern laboratory further enhances its capacity, allowing for a wider range of tests and examinations.
