Windhoek, Namibia – U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield met today with Namibian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. Their discussion focused on a range of critical issues, including Namibia’s leadership on multilateral efforts in climate adaptation, clean energy, and the Women, Peace, and Security agenda. Food security also emerged as a key topic.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield acknowledged Namibia’s valuable contributions to global efforts on these crucial issues. She commended the Deputy Prime Minister’s leadership and expressed the United States’ continued commitment to working closely with Namibia to address shared challenges.
Deputy Prime Minister Nandi-Ndaitwah is currently a guest of honor at the official opening ceremony of the new U.S. Embassy compound in Windhoek. The two leaders expressed their shared commitment to continued collaboration on these important issues and to building a more sustainable and equitable future for their respective countries and the world.
