Dubai, UAE – Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and President William Ruto met with World Bank officials on the sidelines of the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai to discuss Kenya’s economic recovery and growth plans.
The World Bank delegation, led by Vice President for Eastern and Southern Africa, Anna Bjerde, expressed the institution’s commitment to supporting Kenya’s economic agenda.
President Ruto is currently in Dubai to advocate for Kenya and Africa’s interests in global climate action. He is emphasizing the need for developed countries to take concrete steps to reduce carbon emissions and support climate adaptation efforts in developing nations.
The meeting between Kenyan officials and the World Bank is expected to strengthen the partnership between the two parties and accelerate Kenya’s economic recovery and growth.
