The Dubai Chamber has officially inaugurated its Lagos trade office, marking a pivotal moment for international trade between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This new office signifies Dubai’s growing commitment to expanding its trade footprint across Africa.
The inauguration ceremony, held today, was graced by the presence of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, and Mohammad Lootah, the President and CEO of Dubai Chambers.
Governor Sanwo-Olu hailed the opening of the Lagos trade office as a significant milestone in strengthening trade ties between Nigeria and the UAE. He emphasized that Dubai’s presence in Lagos would further solidify the state’s position as the economic and commercial hub of Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
Lootah, in his remarks, highlighted the strategic importance of establishing a presence in Nigeria, one of Africa’s leading economies. He stated that the Lagos office would serve as a vital platform for enhancing cross-border partnerships and facilitating business opportunities between Dubai and Nigeria.
The establishment of the Lagos trade office is anticipated to yield significant benefits for both countries.
