The G20 is an international forum for the world’s major economies. It is composed of 19 countries and the European Union. The summit is held annually, under the leadership of a rotating Presidency. India holds the Presidency of the G20 from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023.
The G20 Summit is a major opportunity for countries to discuss and coordinate their responses to global challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and economic inequality. The summit is also a chance for countries to strengthen their ties and build consensus on important issues.
Pandor is expected to play a key role in ensuring that South Africa’s interests are represented at the summit.
