Hong Kong – On July 1, 2023, the South African Consul General, Mr. Mojalefa Mogono, participated in a grand celebration of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China. In the company of other distinguished dignitaries, Consul General Mr. Mojalefa Mogono also had the honor of officiating the prestigious International Culture and Tourism Exhibition at the renowned Asia World Expo 2023. Adding a touch of artistic flair to the exhibition, South African embroidery artist, Lerato Motau, graced the event with her exceptional creations. Motau’s intricate and captivating embroidery pieces, inspired by the essence of South African heritage, left the visitors enchanted and intrigued. Her artistic display at the Asia World Expo 2023 truly exemplified the creative brilliance and artistic diversity of South Africa.
