Ambassador of India presents credentials to President of Lao PDR

Hokham, 27 June 2023 – H.E. Mr. Prashant Agrawal, the Ambassador of India to Lao PDR, officially presented his credentials to H.E. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, the President of Lao PDR, during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace. This event further solidified the historically close and warm ties between India and Lao PDR, which are rooted in shared cultural heritage.

The two nations have cultivated a robust development partnership, with a particular emphasis on capacity building, training, and the implementation of joint projects in key areas such as agriculture, power generation, and transmission. These initiatives aim to bring about development and growth, benefiting the people of both countries. Regular high-level exchanges have infused new energy into the bilateral relations.

Following the presentation of credentials, a cordial discussion took place between Ambassador Prashant Agrawal and President Thongloun Sisoulith. The focus of their conversation revolved around exploring avenues to strengthen cooperation in various dimensions, including health, technology, and digital infrastructure. Both sides expressed their commitment to realizing the immense potential in boosting economic, commercial, and investment links between India and Lao PDR.
