On the eve of Eid Al Adha, President Sheikh Mohamed conveyed messages of congratulations to kings, emirs, and presidents throughout the Arab world. The UAE leader, in his heartfelt communication, emphasized the importance of continued progress, prosperity, and stability for their respective nations and people. The state news agency Wam reported this news on Tuesday.

Joining in this expression of goodwill, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, as well as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, extended similar messages to leaders across the region.

Tomorrow, millions of Muslims worldwide will commence the celebration of Eid Al Adha. The day will begin with morning prayers at mosques, followed by joyous gatherings with friends and family, allowing for introspection on matters of faith.

It is noteworthy that this year’s observance of Eid Al Adha will be the first since 2019 to take place without any Covid-19 restrictions. This development allows for a more traditional and meaningful commemoration of the festival.

Eid Al Adha, also known as the “festival of the sacrifice,” falls within the month of Dhu Al Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar, which began on June 19, Monday. It is during this period that the annual Hajj pilgrimage takes place.

For Muslims, Dhu Al Hijjah holds great significance as it is considered one of the four sacred months known as Al Ashhur Al Hurom.

Before the arrival of Eid Al Adha, Sheikh Mohamed engaged in telephone conversations with leaders from various countries in the region, extending his warm greetings for the occasion. Notable figures such as Sultan Haitham of Oman, King Hamad of Bahrain, and Jordan’s King Abdullah II were among the recipients of these calls.

The conversations were marked by well wishes for good health, happiness, and the overall well-being of the countries and people. Additionally, the leaders expressed their shared aspiration for stability and prosperity in Arab and Muslim nations worldwide.
