Namibian Ambassador presents credentials to Austrian president

Vienna, June 20, 2023 – In a significant diplomatic gesture, His Excellency Mr. Vasco M. Samupofu presented his Letters of Credence to the Federal President of Austria, His Excellency Mr. Alexander Van der Bellen, on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023. This official ceremony marked the beginning of Ambassador Samupofu’s tenure and showcased Namibia’s commitment to fostering strong bilateral ties with Austria.

During the meeting, Ambassador Samupofu conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Namibian President H.E. Hage G. Geingob to President Van der Bellen. He expressed his determination to enhance and consolidate the already amicable relations between Namibia and Austria.
