Minister Lejone Mpotjoana, the Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Lesotho, together with Minister Matjato Moteane, Minister of Public Works and Transport, are currently undertaking an official visit to the Republic of Korea at the invitation of the Korea Foundation, an arm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. This visit marks a return visit following the high-level visits by Korean Ministers, Special Envoy, and Ambassador to Lesotho earlier this year.
During their visit, the ministers from Lesotho have engaged in productive meetings with their counterparts in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. Additionally, they have held meetings with the Minister of Interior and Safety, as well as key organizations including the Korea Foundation, Export and Import Bank of Korea, Korea Investment Promotion Agency, and the Chief Executive of Korea Airport Corporation.

The primary objective of this visit is to explore new areas of bilateral cooperation that will be mutually beneficial for both countries. The discussions have focused on strengthening ties and identifying opportunities for collaboration across various sectors.
As the concluding part of their visit, the Honourable Ministers will travel to the city of Busan, the host city for EXPO 2030, where they will meet with the Mayor of Busan. This meeting presents an excellent opportunity for further dialogue and exchange of ideas.
