The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on finding a long-term solution to the Rohingya crisis.

During the discussion, Ambassador Masud emphasized the importance of safe, voluntary, and sustainable repatriation to Rakhine State as the ultimate solution to the crisis. He highlighted the efforts undertaken by the Bangladesh government to initiate the repatriation process and urged UNHCR to collaborate with Myanmar authorities to improve the situation in Rakhine.

The meeting served as a platform to assess the progress made in addressing the needs of Rohingya refugees and finding ways to ensure their safe return to their homeland.
