Zambia’s foreign minister strengthens diplomatic ties with Cuba’s ambassador

Today, Honorable Stanley K. Kakubo, Member of Parliament and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had the honor of receiving Copies of Letters of Credence from Her Excellency Ms. Marileydis Dueñas Morales, the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Cuba. The prestigious event took place at Charter House in Lusaka, symbolizing the deepening diplomatic ties between Zambia and Cuba.

The ceremony, held on May 19, 2023, served as a formal acknowledgment of Ambassador-Designate Dueñas Morales’ appointment and her official representation of Cuba in Zambia. Honorable Kakubo warmly welcomed the distinguished diplomat, emphasizing the importance of fostering strong bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.

During their meeting, Minister Kakubo and Ambassador-Designate Dueñas Morales discussed various areas of mutual interest, including trade, healthcare, education, and cultural exchanges.
