Rwanda, Turkish MAARIF Foundation sign agreement to enhance TVET education

On Monday morning, May 15th, 2023, a significant development took place as Minister Vincent Biruta and Prof. Mehmet Özkan, Member of the Executive Board of the Turkish MAARIF Foundation, gathered to sign a momentous Host Country Agreement. This pivotal agreement marks a new chapter in the relationship between the Government of Rwanda and the Turkish MAARIF Foundation, with the potential to greatly benefit Rwanda’s education sector, particularly Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The signing ceremony, held with great anticipation and enthusiasm, signifies the commitment of both parties to fostering educational collaboration and enhancing the quality of TVET programs in Rwanda. Minister Biruta and Prof. Özkan expressed their shared vision of empowering the youth of Rwanda through access to comprehensive and relevant technical skills training.

The Host Country Agreement serves as a framework for cooperation and mutual understanding between Rwanda and the Turkish MAARIF Foundation.
