Dubai is set to host the 30th edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) from 1st to 4th May 2023. The event will bring together government officials and industry leaders from the Middle East and beyond to explore how the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry can work towards achieving net-zero emissions. The opening session will feature a ministerial debate on how the industry can tackle the climate crisis. Regional policymakers, including the UAE Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, will be among the panelists.

The event will also feature an in-depth interview with Claire Bennett, Global Chief Customer Officer at IHG Hotels & Resorts, on the ATM Travel Tech Stage. The brand-new Sustainability Hub will host the ‘Sustainability in the Air – Live Podcast Session’ where Shashank Nigam, Founder & CEO of SimpliFlying, and Shaenaz Voss, CCO of Fiji Airways and CEO of Fiji Link, will discuss sustainability in the airline industry.

Exhibitor participation in ATM 2023 has risen by 27% compared to last year’s event, with growth registered across all show sectors. The event will unveil a dedicated sustainability pledge designed to deliver sustainable events through the use of environmentally friendly materials and the elimination of single-use plastics.

The International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Arabia will also make a return, exploring trends and opportunities within the high-end tourism market. Additionally, sessions from the International Tourism & Investment Conference (ITIC), the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), and the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) will also be held.

ATM 2023 will provide a platform for regional experts to explore a sustainable future ahead of COP28, which will take place in November 2023 at Expo City Dubai. With a wide array of events on the agenda, including sessions focused on the key markets of India, China, and the GCC, ATM 2023 is set to offer unparalleled networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities for attendees.
