Recently, the South Korean Ambassador to China, Chung Jae-Ho, attended the launch ceremony of the 2023 Korea-China Friendship Angels held at the South Korean Embassy in China. The ceremony saw Ambassador Chung Jae-Ho presenting a certificate of appointment to each little angel and delivering a speech, followed by the screening of a film introducing the 2023 little angels campaign, and the presentation of speeches by the little angel representatives.

In his speech, Ambassador Chung Jae-Ho highlighted the crucial role played by the Korea-China friendship angels in enhancing the friendship between the two countries. He emphasized that the embassy would actively support each of the angels as civil ambassadors in making practical contributions to the transmission of the friendship between South Korea and China.

This year, the embassy has selected 27 Korea-China friendship angels to strengthen online promotion, including online bloggers with a following of tens of thousands of subscribers to their personal social media platforms. These angels will directly participate in various public diplomacy events organized by the embassy and the Cultural Center, and actively promote them through their Weibo and personal social media platforms. This move is aimed at furthering the exchange and cooperation between South Korea and China and promoting mutual understanding and friendship among the people of both countries.

The Korea-China friendship angels program has been instrumental in fostering cultural and people-to-people exchanges between South Korea and China for several years. These angels, who are appointed annually, serve as goodwill ambassadors and promote friendship, understanding, and cooperation between the two countries through various activities and events. The program has gained popularity and has been successful in building bridges of friendship between the two nations.

Ambassador Chung Jae-Ho expressed his confidence in the 2023 Korea-China friendship angels and their ability to contribute to further strengthening the bilateral relations between South Korea and China. He also expressed his gratitude to the little angels for their commitment and efforts in promoting friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The launch ceremony was attended by officials from the South Korean Embassy in China, representatives from the Cultural Center, and the selected Korea-China friendship angels along with their families. The event was filled with enthusiasm and excitement as the little angels received their certificates of appointment and expressed their determination to fulfill their roles as civil ambassadors in promoting the Korea-China friendship.

The Korea-China friendship angels program serves as a significant platform for enhancing people-to-people exchanges and deepening mutual understanding between South Korea and China. The active participation of the little angels in promoting bilateral relations and cultural exchanges through their online platforms is expected to further boost the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the coming year.
