According to Russian news agencies, an unknown powder was found in a letter received by Finland’s embassy in Moscow, and the matter has been reported to the Russian authorities.
Tensions between Moscow and Helsinki have escalated since Finland officially joined NATO on April 4, becoming the 31st member of the US-led military alliance.
The embassy received three letters on Thursday, one of which contained the suspicious powder, as reported by RIA news agency.
