Somalia has reiterated its strong support for Sudan, affirming its commitment to the country’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial security. The statement, issued on February 19, 2025, stresses the importance of respecting the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states, in line with international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Federal Republic of Somalia also acknowledged Sudan’s central role in regional security and expressed full solidarity with the Sudanese people during this critical period. The statement emphasized the need to uphold state institutions and legitimate authority to ensure the country’s stability and unity.
