MTN Eswatini, in partnership with the Ministry of Education & Training (MOET) and Micro Projects, unveiled a new accessible ablution facility at St. Joseph’s Primary School on January 30, 2024. The initiative, designed to address the urgent need for inclusive sanitation at the school, caters to the 390 students, including 30 wheelchair-bound pupils.

The newly built facility includes eight standard toilets and three disabled-friendly toilets, with separate sections for each gender. The project, valued at E1.25 million, is part of MTN’s ongoing commitment to improve education infrastructure and ensure accessibility for all students.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Training, Bheki Gama, highlighted the importance of providing safe, accessible, and dignified sanitation for all students. The project is expected to make a lasting impact on the school community.

St. Joseph’s Principal, Ms. Magagula, expressed gratitude on behalf of the school, thanking the Ministry, MTN, and Micro Projects for their support. Students also shared their appreciation, with representatives performing a heartfelt poem during the event.
