Ethiopia, UK Pledge Regional Peace

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Ethiopia and the United Kingdom have reiterated their commitment to fostering peace and cooperation in the Horn of Africa.

State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, met with UK Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, Ambassador Alison Blackburne, on [date of the meeting] to discuss regional issues.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mesganu underscored Ethiopia’s crucial role in stabilizing the Horn of Africa. He also acknowledged the UK’s partnership and stressed the importance of increased cooperation to tackle regional challenges.

In response, Ambassador Blackburne commended Ethiopia’s contributions to regional peace and stability. She reaffirmed the UK’s support for regional security initiatives and emphasized the shared goal of achieving lasting peace in the region.

Both parties concluded the meeting by pledging to strengthen their partnership and work together to address regional peace and security issues.
