Nairobi, Kenya – The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Kenya, H.E. Ruzaimi Mohamad, recently met with Kenya’s Deputy Director General of the Asia and Pacific Directorate, Amb. Jane Makori, to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

A key topic of discussion was the upcoming inaugural flight of AirAsia from Kuala Lumpur to Nairobi, scheduled for November 15, 2024. This direct flight is expected to significantly boost trade and tourism between Kenya, Malaysia, and the broader ASEAN region.

AirAsia, a Malaysian low-cost airline, will connect Nairobi to its extensive network of destinations across Asia. This increased connectivity will provide Kenyan businesses with greater access to ASEAN markets.
