Namibia, Finland Seek to Deepen Ties

Windhoek, Namibia – Namibia’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr. Peya Mushelenga, has reaffirmed the country’s strong relationship with Finland during a recent visit to Helsinki.

Meeting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb on October 3, 2024, Minister Mushelenga highlighted the historical ties between the two nations and emphasized the need to strengthen economic cooperation.

“Our countries share a special relationship built on mutual respect and understanding,” Minister Mushelenga said. “We are committed to exploring new avenues for collaboration that will benefit both Namibia and Finland.”

The minister also discussed the importance of reforming multilateral governance structures to address contemporary challenges.

The visit to Finland is part of Minister Mushelenga’s official trip to Europe, where he is seeking to strengthen Namibia’s diplomatic relations and promote economic opportunities.
