Somali FM Joins OIC to Condemn Israeli, Iranian Violations

Jeddah, August 8, 2024 – Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ahmed Maalam Faqi Ahmed, participated in an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday. The session, held in Jeddah, brought together Foreign Ministers from OIC member states to address the ongoing Israeli assaults on Palestinians and attacks on Iranian sovereignty.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous condemnation of the Israeli actions and called for united efforts among OIC member states to address these critical issues. The collective statement emphasized the need for solidarity and coordinated action to counter violations against the Palestinian people and the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
