Doha, Qatar – June 29, 2024 – Somalia and Qatar reaffirmed their commitment to a stronger bilateral relationship during a meeting between their top diplomats today.

H.E. Ali Mohammed Omar, Somalia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khalifa, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The discussion focused on ways to bolster cooperation across various sectors and navigate regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The Qatari Minister of State emphasized Qatar’s dedication to supporting Somalia’s pursuit of security, stability, and development. This commitment reflects the close ties between the two nations.
