President Buhari Joins Muslims in Eid-el-Fitr Prayer at Mambilla Barracks

Abuja, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari, accompanied by his family members and personnel aides, arrived at the parade ground of the Mambilla Barracks on Friday morning to participate in the Eid-el-Fitr prayer. The President, who arrived around 9:10 am, joined other Muslim faithful in celebrating the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.

The atmosphere at the Mambilla Barracks was filled with excitement as the President joined the congregation in offering prayers and supplications. The President was seen dressed in traditional attire, exuding a sense of joy and camaraderie as he interacted with fellow worshippers.

In addition to the President, some members of the Federal Executive Council, security chiefs, heads of para-military organisations, and government officials were also present at the praying ground. The event was well-attended, with Muslims from various walks of life coming together to mark the end of Ramadan, which is a time of reflection, prayer, and acts of charity.

Speaking briefly after the prayers, President Buhari extended his heartfelt wishes to all Nigerians, especially the Muslim community, on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr. He emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and tolerance among all religious and ethnic groups in Nigeria, urging citizens to continue to work towards building a harmonious and prosperous nation.

The President also seized the opportunity to highlight the efforts of his administration in addressing various challenges facing the country, including insecurity, corruption, and economic development. He reassured Nigerians of his government’s commitment to delivering on its promises and urged them to remain patient and supportive.

The Eid-el-Fitr celebration at Mambilla Barracks was not only a religious event but also a platform for fostering national unity and solidarity. It showcased the President’s inclusive approach to governance and his determination to promote peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians, regardless of their religious or ethnic background.

As the prayers concluded, President Buhari exchanged greetings and pleasantries with those in attendance, reaffirming his commitment to serving the Nigerian people to the best of his ability. The President’s participation in the Eid-el-Fitr prayer at Mambilla Barracks exemplified his leadership style and his unwavering dedication to the welfare of the Nigerian people.
