Lusaka, Zambia – Zambia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the UN Resident Coordinator’s office, recently held a workshop titled “Women in Foreign Policy.” The event aimed to empower women and promote gender equality within the diplomatic sphere.

The workshop, held in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual participation, was graced by prominent figures including Permanent Secretary Etambuyu Anamela Gundersen, UN Resident Coordinator Beatrice Mutali, and seasoned diplomat Ambassador Wendy Sinkala.

Gundersen emphasized the importance of inner resilience, self-belief, and professional expertise for women in foreign policy. She highlighted these qualities as crucial for achieving the Ministry’s vision and contributing to Zambia’s economic development.
