AMMAN, August 2, 2023 — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, held a significant meeting with King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan today. The leaders convened at Basman Palace in Amman to discuss and enhance the enduring partnership between their nations.
In the backdrop of Sheikh Mohamed’s official visit to Jordan, the two leaders delved into multiple regional and international developments. King Abdullah warmly welcomed Sheikh Mohamed, expressing optimism that the visit would fortify the already strong bilateral ties and pave the way for expanded cooperation across various domains.
Their conversation delved into several aspects of the UAE-Jordan collaboration, focusing on ways to bolster ties that have been rooted in history. The discussions encompassed strategies to amplify cooperation across critical sectors, particularly in terms of economic partnerships, investments, developmental prospects, and other key areas that could foster sustainable growth and prosperity in both countries.
Views were exchanged on regional and global dynamics, underscoring their mutual belief in dialogue and diplomacy as tools to address conflicts. Both leaders echoed their shared commitment to promoting peace and backing initiatives aimed at ensuring stability in the region and around the world.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed stressed the common vision that the UAE and Jordan share: a vision centered on sustainable development, stability, and economic progress not only for their own citizens but also for the broader region.
A luncheon was held in honor of His Highness following the meeting, solidifying the camaraderie and spirit of collaboration.
The delegation accompanying His Highness Sheikh Mohamed included several prominent figures, such as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court; H.H.
