Pretoria, May 27, 2023 – The Saharawi Republic Embassy in Pretoria proudly participated in the Africa Day Celebrations held today in Midrand, marking the 60th anniversary of the African Union. Ambassador Mohamed Beisat delivered a passionate speech during the commemoration of the late Comrade Ambassador Billy Masetlha in Soweto, where the life and legacy of Ambassador Masetlha were celebrated.
Africa Day, celebrated annually on May 25th, serves as a significant reminder of Africa’s unity and the achievements of the African continent. The Saharawi Republic Embassy took an active part in the festivities, joining their African brothers and sisters in celebrating six decades of the African Union.
Ambassador Mohamed Beisat expressed his pride in participating in the Africa Day Celebrations, highlighting the Saharawi Republic’s commitment to African solidarity and the realization of freedom for the people of Western Sahara.
