French officials visited Borno State this week as part of a mission to support Nigeria’s efforts in fighting malnutrition and improving conditions for vulnerable communities.
Led by the Centre de Crise et de Soutien (CDCS) under France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the delegation collaborated with the World Food Programme (WFP) and other humanitarian actors to assess ongoing aid efforts and explore areas for deeper cooperation.

The mission included site visits to multisectoral projects focused on nutrition, healthcare, agricultural development, and the protection of at-risk groups. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening community resilience in one of Nigeria’s most crisis-affected regions.
Alongside field visits, French representatives held high-level meetings with Nigerian authorities and humanitarian agencies to deepen collaboration in tackling food insecurity and restoring dignity to displaced and vulnerable populations.
