The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, met with the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator, H.E. Charles Abani, on 3rd March 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting focused on updating the Minister about the UN’s ongoing projects in Ghana, including initiatives in migration, security, and education.
H.E. Abani emphasized the positive and growing relationship between Ghana and the UN, noting the effectiveness of their joint efforts in various sectors.
In response, Minister Ablakwa praised the UN for its support of Ghana’s national priorities, particularly in governance, economic development, and climate resilience. He also thanked the UN and H.E. Abani for their assistance during the 2024 floods in the Volta Region, highlighting the personal support offered to the people of his constituency.
