Ghana made a strong impression at ITB Berlin 2025, the world’s leading travel trade show, with a vibrant celebration of its 68th Independence Day. Organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the Ghana Tourism Authority, and the Ghana Embassy in Berlin, the event drew global attention and promoted Ghana as a premier travel destination.
Visitors at the Ghana stand experienced the country’s cultural heritage through live traditional music and energetic dance performances. The engaging showcase provided an authentic glimpse into Ghana’s history and artistic traditions.
The event also featured a culinary presentation that attracted large crowds. Attendees enjoyed popular Ghanaian dishes, including jollof rice, kelewele, grilled kebabs, spiced chicken, and sobolo, a refreshing hibiscus-based drink. The flavors and aromas created a lively atmosphere, making the stand a focal point at the exhibition.
Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, and Ghana Tourism Authority CEO, Efua Houadjeto, led the festivities. The Minister announced the country’s independence milestone and invited visitors to explore Ghana’s landscapes, cultural sites, and hospitality firsthand.
