Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of Ghana, met with a delegation of ambassadors from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on February 19. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening collaboration between their countries.
Opoku-Agyemang expressed her gratitude for the ambassadors’ goodwill and called for greater promotion of Agenda 2063 – “The Africa We Want” – across the SADC nations. She urged them to make the agenda more visible within their countries to foster greater integration and social cohesion throughout the continent.
The discussions also touched on the crucial role of transportation in reducing barriers to movement. Both sides agreed to work together to improve transportation systems, facilitating easier travel between African countries.
