Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, will host the annual Ubuntu Awards at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on Saturday, 8 February 2025. The event, which takes place annually after the opening of Parliament, will bring together leaders from business, civil society, cabinet members, and Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to South Africa.
This year’s ceremony will align with South Africa’s presidency of the G20 and will be held under the theme “Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability.”
The Ubuntu Awards, launched in 2015, aim to recognize South African citizens who have made significant contributions to enhancing the country’s image globally through dedicated service in various fields.
