Mogadishu – Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, received the credentials of seven newly appointed ambassadors at his office in Mogadishu. The diplomats represent Palestine, Thailand, Tanzania, Portugal, Rwanda, Algeria, and Japan.
The ambassadors include Ruwaid Adil Mohamed of Palestine, Morakot Janemathukorn of Thailand, Bernard Yohana Kibesse of Tanzania, Ana Filomena da Costa Rocha of Portugal, Martin Karoli Ngoga of Rwanda, Boumediene Mahi of Algeria, and Hiroshi Matsuura of Japan.
Fiqi welcomed the new envoys and wished them success in their diplomatic missions. He reiterated Somalia’s commitment to strengthening ties and fostering cooperation with their respective nations.
The exchange of credentials marks a step toward deeper diplomatic relations, with discussions expected on economic collaboration, security partnerships, and cultural exchange.
