The Philippine Embassy in South Africa held its first Town Hall Meeting of the year on January 26, 2025, bringing together the Filipino community. The meeting focused on introducing the Online Voting and Canvassing System (OVCS), which will be used for the first time in the upcoming 2025 National Elections by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
Attendees, both in-person and online, were briefed on the OVCS and given the opportunity to participate in a demonstration of online enrollment and voting. The Embassy thanked everyone who attended and provided feedback on the new system.
