The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kenya has confirmed that Ambassador Josphat K. Maikara, Deputy Director General of the Americas & Caribbean Directorate, met with Chile’s Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Patricio Aguirre, on January 20, 2025, to discuss key diplomatic and economic engagements between the two nations.
Central to their discussions was the upcoming visit of Mrs. Claudia Sanhueza, Chile’s Vice Minister of International Economic Relations, who is set to attend the first Joint Committee of Trade and Investment meeting in Nairobi on February 26, 2025.
The officials also addressed preparations for an official visit by Chile’s President, slated for later this year, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
The meeting was attended by other representatives from both governments.
