ENUGU, Nigeria, Jan 4 – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited Enugu State today to commission several projects initiated by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration, signaling significant progress in the state’s development efforts.
Among the projects unveiled were 30 completed Smart Green Schools, part of a broader plan to deliver 260 such schools, and 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres equipped to improve access to medical services across all wards. Tinubu also opened the Enugu International Conference Centre, designed to enhance the state’s global engagement capabilities, and 90 newly completed urban roads aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving mobility.

Security was a prominent focus, with the inauguration of a Command and Control Centre equipped with 150 AI-enabled patrol vehicles, part of an advanced surveillance network aimed at ensuring safety for residents and businesses.

Governor Mbah outlined an ambitious economic plan to increase Enugu’s economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion within the next eight years, attributing the state’s growth to strategic investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security.

During the event, Mbah called for unity and collaboration, reinforcing the importance of moving beyond political divisions to build a prosperous state and nation. President Tinubu commended the administration’s efforts, expressing optimism about Enugu’s trajectory.
