Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Ambassador Ilyas Ali Hassan has presented his diplomatic credentials to Ambassador Yusuph Mndolwa, Chief of Protocol at Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation. The ceremony was held on November 22, 2024, in Dar es Salaam and included a formal reception.
Ambassador Ilyas expressed gratitude for the welcome and reaffirmed Somalia’s dedication to strengthening ties with Tanzania. He noted the importance of collaboration between the two nations to advance shared interests.
The relationship between Somalia and Tanzania is rooted in cooperation on trade, education, and regional security. Somalia is also pursuing closer integration within the East African Community, aiming to boost economic growth and regional partnerships.
