Somali Foreign Minister Receives Condolences After Mother’s Passing

Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi welcomed a group of ambassadors at his office on October 21, 2024, who came to offer their condolences after the recent passing of his mother, Fatima Sheikh Doun Duale. She died on October 19, 2024.

The delegation included representatives from Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan. Notable figures in attendance were Ambassador Fadhl Ali Ahmed Al-Hanak of Yemen, UAE Ambassador Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaithi, Qatari Ambassador Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Nuaimi, Saudi Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Saleh Al-Mawlid, and Sudan’s Chargé d’Affaires Ammar Ahmed Babiker.

During the visit, the ambassadors expressed their sympathy and support for Minister Fiqi during this difficult time, demonstrating the solidarity between Somalia and their nations. Minister Fiqi expressed gratitude to the ambassadors for their compassion and presence.
