Mbabane, Eswatini – The Ministry of Finance in Eswatini today announced the launch of a new Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) called “UMSEBE.” The system aims to modernize, streamline, and enhance transparency in public financial management.
Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg addressed the IFMIS Extraordinary Steering Committee meeting, emphasizing the project’s vision to create a more efficient and accountable financial management system.
The name “UMSEBE” was chosen to symbolize the dawn of transparency in public finance management. Minister Rijkenberg expressed his gratitude to the PFM Unit, Treasury, supporting ministries, and the Rwandan team for their contributions to the project.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration and resilience in ensuring the successful implementation of UMSEBE.
