Lilongwe, Malawi – Vice President Dr. Michael Bizwick Usi has praised outgoing Bishop of Lake Malawi Anglican Diocese, Francis Kaulanda, for his outstanding leadership during his tenure. The Vice President made these remarks on Sunday during a farewell ceremony held in honor of Bishop Kaulanda, themed “Finishing the Race.”
Dr. Usi described Bishop Kaulanda as a man of humility, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to his faith. He noted that the Bishop’s leadership was characterized by integrity and a genuine spirit of service to others. “Bishop Kaulanda demonstrated true leadership, showcasing that leadership is not about power or authority, but about humility and service,” the Vice President stated.
Dr. Usi also commended Bishop Kaulanda for his efforts in uniting the Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi. He highlighted the Bishop’s legacy of love, compassion, and unity as an inspiration to many. The Vice President praised Bishop Kaulanda’s transformative leadership in education, particularly citing the establishment of the Lake Malawi Anglican University (LAMAU) as a testament to his vision and commitment to enhancing the nation’s educational landscape.
In his response, Bishop Kaulanda expressed his gratitude for the Vice President’s presence at the farewell ceremony.
