Six Basotho Scholars Win Chevening Scholarships

Maseru, Lesotho – The British High Commission in Lesotho has announced the six successful candidates for the 2024/25 Chevening Scholarships. The recipients, Tlhaloso Mpopo, Lehlohonolo Mahola, Bokang Mahlomaholo, Sebuoeng Tau, Rethabile Mothoosele, and Hlokomelang Rakojoana, will be traveling to the United Kingdom to pursue their master’s degrees.

A send-off reception was held for the Cheveners, who will be embarking on a year-long academic journey in the UK. The British High Commission expressed its best wishes and hopes for their success.

The Chevening Scholarships are a fully funded program offered by the UK Government to support talented individuals from around the world. The scholarships provide opportunities for successful candidates to study at any UK university and gain valuable experience.

To apply for a Chevening Scholarship, applicants must submit their education documents, references, and an unconditional UK university offer. The deadlines for these required documents are outlined in the Chevening application timeline.

Chevening Scholarships offer numerous benefits, including fully funded tuition fees, access to world-class education, exclusive networking opportunities, and the chance to explore the UK’s diverse culture. Upon completion of the program, scholars join a global community of over 60,000 alumni, equipped with the knowledge and networks to make a positive impact in their careers.
