ACCRA, Aug. 7 — President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed three new ambassadors to represent Ghana. The appointees include Major General Charles Kodjo Abede Asomaning Awity, who will serve as Ambassador to Serbia; Peprah Ampratwum, who will act as Chief of Protocol; and Fawaz Aliu, named Ambassador-at-Large.
At the ceremony, held on August 7, President Akufo-Addo urged the new ambassadors to work on attracting investment and advocating for Ghana internationally. He stressed the importance of their roles in fostering partnerships that will benefit Ghana in the future.

Major General Awity, speaking on behalf of the appointees, thanked the President and promised to focus on promoting Ghana’s culture and tourism globally.
The event was attended by Chief of Staff Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, and Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Amb. Ramses Joseph Cleland, along with other senior officials, clergy, and the families of the new ambassadors.
