Danish Embassy in South Africa Welcomes New Interns

Pretoria, South Africa – The Danish Embassy in South Africa has announced the arrival of five new interns who will be contributing to various departments over the next six months.

The interns, a mix of Master’s students from different Danish universities, will be involved in projects spanning sustainability, public diplomacy, international collaboration, and trade.

Mads Damsgaard Jensen, a Master’s student in International Security and Law, will be bolstering the Trade Council. Katrine Friborg Heitmann, with a Master’s in Communication, will be dividing her time between the Trade Council and the Communication and Public Diplomacy team.

Laura Bjerg-Christensen, a Sustainable Transition Master’s student, will be contributing to the Strategic Sector Cooperation with Water & Food. Emilie Nitschke, a Political Science Master’s student, will be working on the Strategic Sector Cooperation with Energy & Investments. Rounding up the new cohort is Sofie Amalie Björklund, another Political Science Master’s student, who will be joining the Political team.

The Embassy has extended a warm welcome to the interns and expressed its anticipation for their contributions during their stay in South Africa.
