Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Airlines is teaming up with Satarem America Inc. to produce and use a greener type of jet fuel in Ethiopia. The companies signed a deal on Wednesday to make this happen.

This move is a big step for the airline to become more environmentally friendly. The new fuel, called Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), will help Ethiopian Airlines cut down on pollution.

Ethiopian Airlines’ boss, Mesfin Tasew, is excited about the deal. He says it shows the airline is committed to protecting the environment and finding new ways to run its business in a sustainable way. This latest plan joins other things the airline is already doing to be greener, like using newer planes and finding ways to fly that use less fuel.
